Abstract:
This study examines the impact of rhythmic entrainment customised music medicine programs on two individuals with distinct brain disorders. One participant, a young man with a brain shaft inserted during childhood, exhibited temper outbursts, low self-esteem, and defensive behavioral patterns. The other participant, a man in his seventies, had a long history of epilepsy with frequent seizures.
Over a four-month period, both individuals listened to 30-minute audio sessions at bedtime tailored to their sensory needs, determined through a comprehensive questionnaire assessing symptom severity, frequency, and duration. Adjustments were made based on observed changes over a two-week period, aiming to precisely stimulate the brain into an Alpha state.
Results showed a significant reduction in symptoms, with a 50% decrease observed in one case and a notable 70% reduction in epilepsy-related symptoms. Although long-term follow-up was not feasible with the individual having a brain shaft, the participant with epilepsy demonstrated sustained results even after a 5-year period.
